As our only connection to the ground when standing in gravity, our feet play a hugely important role in our everyday movement and function. Issues stemming from the feet can present themselves as pain and dysfunction in multiple other areas of the body.

As we move in our day to day lives, we move with subconscious movement patterns through our gait cycle and whilst doing everyday tasks. By completing a thorough foot and gait analysis, we can identify potential areas of dysfunction and build a corrective exercise programme designed to improve muscular balance, timing and coordination, alongside foot & ankle strength.

At the Gym

This course is suitable for all ages and abilities, whether you are suffering from pain and mobility issues, through to athletes and dancers wishing to improve their performance and guard against injury. As a Barefoot Training Specialist® I will look at the body from the ground up to put together a tailored session working in harmony with the way the body functions.

7 WEEK COURSE: 1X ASSESSMENT SESSION + 6X EXERCISE SESSIONS

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Basic (Static) Posture Analysis

A basic analysis of Posture to identify any areas that may need particular attention

  • Initial Consultation with Functional Movement + Gait Analysis

Visit the studio to meet Steph, have an introductory chat and run through your posture & gait analysis. Then, your functional movement analysis where Steph will  guide you through a series of movements designed to analyse functionality and highlight muscles imbalances / weaknesses / tightness and compensatory movement patterns. â€‹
 

  • Tailored Corrective Exercise Sessions (x6)

Exercise sessions tailored to your needs, goals and ability
 

  • Tailored Exercise & Physical Activity Plan

Working alongside Steph, you will be given personalised recommendations for at-home corrective exercises and physical activity sessions to compliment your studio sessions
